Assumption Boy Scout Troop 106

From the Scout Law:  A Scout is OBEDIENT.  He follows the rules of his family, school, and troop, and he obeys the laws of his community and country.

We are back after a very eventful summer, and we are very excited about a new Scout year.  We had a ball – for the 35th time in our Troop’s history – at Camp Rainey Mountain in July.  We took 59 Merit Badge classes and completed the requirements for 17; we rappelled Big Rock, swam the Chatooga, rafted the Mighty Nantahala, and caught a movie at the local drive-in theater. We also completed two Eagle Projects here at Assumption.  Carson Mann led the building of new benches for Our Lady’s Big Oak Deck and Ron Varghese led the refurbishment of old and the building of new benches for the elementary school playground.
