A Message from Bishop Pohlmeier: “Since St. Patrick’s Day is on Friday this year, I have been asked about granting a dispensation from the Lenten discipline of abstaining from meat on Friday. I have decided not to grant a general dispensation for everyone in the Diocese of St. Augustine.

In whatever form you honor St. Patrick this year during Lent, remember his driving concern was that every soul come to know Christ and the new life he offers because of his death and resurrection. May you grow in this same conviction of faith.”
