Join us for a Holy Hour in Honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus!
Tuesday, February 17 at 7:00 p.m in the Church.
An icon of the Sacred Heart of Jesus will be the centerpiece of a special Sacred Heart Holy Hour on Tuesday, February 17 at 7:00 p.m. in the church.
This holy hour flows from the jubilee marking the 350th anniversary of the apparitions of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque and is inspired by Pope Francis’ encyclical Dilexit Nos (“He Loved Us”). The event is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, in collaboration with the Sisters of the Home of the Mother.
During the service, an icon depicting the most famous image of the Sacred Heart—painted in 1767 by Pompeo Batoni and venerated in the Church of the Gesù in Rome—will be displayed. This reproduction bears the blessing of Pope Francis.
The Holy Hour will include Sacred Scripture, reflections from Pope Francis on the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, prayers to the Sacred Heart, and time for silent adoration.
