Natural Family Planning (NFP) Awareness week is underway. The Dioceses of St. Augustine’s Office of Family Life has invited us to read the groundbreaking encyclical from St. Paul VI, Humane Vitae (Latin, “Of Human Life”). In this final encyclical of his papacy, Paul VI masterfully explains God’s true purpose for marriage and the lasting love that can be achieved by following the constant teaching of the Church on sexuality.
