Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday! Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are obligatory days of fasting and abstinence for Catholics. In addition, Fridays during Lent are obligatory days of abstinence. The norms on fasting are obligatory from age 18 until age 59. When fasting, a person is permitted to eat one full meal, as well as two smaller meals that together are not equal to a full meal. The norms concerning abstinence from meat are binding from age 14 onwards.

Ash Wednesday Mass Times: Mass will be celebrated at 6:30 a.m., 8 a.m., 12:10 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22.

Ash Wednesday Fish Fry: 5:00-7:00 p.m. in Jordan Hall sponsored by the Men’s Club and Knights of Columbus.
Menu: Fried Fish, Green Beans, Grits, Coleslaw, and Hushpuppies
$8.50/dinner or $30.00/immediate family (dining in only) and $8.50 each for all take outs
